Pistons keep Prince Around for 4 more years.

Unrestricted free agent Tayshaun Prince will remain with the  Detroit Pistons thru 2016, thanks his brand new shiny 4yr/$27M contract GM Joe Dumars offered him today. Tayshaun will be entering his 10th consecutive season with Pistons and looks like he will end his career where he started it. There were very few Prince supporters after last season and it was all but a done deal that he was packing his backs for the Los Angels Clippers Personally I was hoping he would remain a Piston and I am happy Joe D thought the same. So sorry Clippers, Bulls and all you other teams that were looking at him…he’s here to stay.

Last season Prince averaged 14.1 points per game and 13 ppg  for his 661 career games . With Prince being in the center of a whole lot of controversy over the last couple of years, the decision to resign him may come as a surprise to most Pistons fans. With new team owner Tom Goers and 1st year  head coach Lawrence Frank,  Joe Dumars should be itching to step it up a notch, this could be a great year for Prince and new start for a team that needs one.
