Good news for anyone in or around the Livingston county area. The Howell Area Parks and Recreation department has been approved for and are ready to build the counties 3rd 18 hole disc golf course. The planned location is on a 30 acre parcel in Marion Township’s park #2. The park is located at 877 W. Coon lake rd on the township hall property on Coon lake road, by Country farm road. Installation of the baskets, posts and benches is set to take place on May 21st from 9-4. Volunteers are welcome if you want to get a sneak peak of the course set-up before anyone else. You can call (517) 546-0693, ext. 0 if your interested. I know I’ll be there. The course will be free for the rest of this year and then a small fee will be decided on for next year based on maintenance costs. Although the course cost almost $10,000 for all the equipment needed it’s a fairly inexpensive investment for the county to make on such a rapidly growing sport. Howell parks plan to host leagues as well as tournaments this summer at the course. Howell park and rec has organized a grand opening event on June18th. It will definitely be worth checking out. New courses usually offer a limited edition grand opening disc for purchase and other grand opening gear. We’ll have to wait and see.

Awesome!
What are the other 2 livingston courses? Not Hudson Mills, Not Kensington.
The other 2 courses i know of are Brighton High School and Cleary University in Howell. They are both only 9 holes but Cleary has a short and a long pad.
